Finally we return to Odet!
Full of turkey and tasty food and driving on roads that are too windy to get to family’s houses. Good times.
Ink drawing of new character. Just a photo for now. I’m currently out of town and away from my scanner.

New Inktober piece! One of my OCs that I really should write the story for. Did this mostly while sitting in a coffee shop.
Started with pen and ended with brush and ink. 11x14” on Bristol
Here’s my first submission for Inktober! Was inspired by a friend of mine. She was looking at how every day has a holiday and found one called “Festival for the Souls of Dead Whales”, which I thought sounded kind of poetic. Alll other research of this festival turned up an article from National Geographic where they went to ask some Inuit people about it. They turned up with some information indicating that there is a celebration during the whaling season in december.
Anyhow, this is an image I got out of the title. I love whales and any excuse to draw them in their glory is a good excuse in my books.

I know these were made before Inktober started, but I needed to post them anyways. I started working on this at the beginning of September while I was visiting family in central BC. This is the first time in probably at least 15 years that I’ve used ink from an ink well and a brush, but it was so much fun, I don’t think I can go back to a brush pen.
Anyhow, characters are some of my OCs from another project. I wanted to make this after I saw a series of photos of Volcanos erupting with lightning in the clouds, which is pretty much one of the most hardcore thing nature does.
